I hope...

I have been a bariatric patient since 2003, when I was diagnosed with Barret's Esophagus. I have been banded and sleeved, and lost about 200 pounds.
I am in line to have rny on the 18th, but with the recurrence of the vulvar cancer, I am not sure of anything. No one is talking to me, but no one is telling me not to go to the pre op appointments. I really want and need this surgery. I'm exhausted with trying to figure out what I should be doing...

Wow! Just from that paragraph I can tell you are amazingly strong. It sounds like you have been through quite a bit since you started your journey in 2003. Can I ask why you are having the RYN after having the sleeve (just curious)? I'm so very sorry to hear that the cancer is back. That has to be tough not knowing what you can and can't do in that situation. Have you told the surgeon about the cancer? Will you have to do any treatments (chemo, radiation, etc.) for it? I would certainly be exhausted too! Sorry I don't have any answers for you (just questions ;)). It sounds like for now you just have to sit back and enjoy the ride so to speak. I really hope your drs start talking to you and to one another so you can get the best treatment possible. We are here for you to vent your frustrations to in the meantime. Please keep us updated on how everything progresses. I have nothing but the most positive hopes for you!
