I'd like to talk about skin!

Hi, I have not yet had my surgery, its guesstimated to happen about Augusts end. But I'd like to talk with y'all about skin. I will not be having any reconstructive/plastic surgeries and so my end result is going to be wholly up to me. I have come to terms with the fact that there is going to be skin... period... but dang it I refuse to accept that there isn't some way to minimize it! So throw it at me folks. What has worked for y'all?

Grammie-About 8 years ago I joined Weight Watcher's and also had a membership at Curves, I was 50 at the time. I went to Curves 3 or 4 times a week and followed the Weight Watcher's menu closely. I lost almost 60 pounds in just over 4 months. I didn't have hardly any skin "flab" under my arms and the amount of loose skin around my abdominal area was minimal. My thighs and buttocks were also in good shape. Now that I am disabled and can not even go for a walk I have batwings from Hell and everything else is not far behind. I do daily exercises with resistance bands but it's nothing in comparison to what Curves had to offer. I think if you followed some sort of circuit training low impact / cardio training it will help firm things up. You will still have some loose skin but it shouldn't be as bad compared to not exercising specific muscle groups. But please make sure you get the OK from your doctor before you start this type of exercise program.
