Insurance Approval

your surgical team will be assembled and discuss your needs. You'll have a team that includes a nutritionist or dietician, and nurse who may also be your scrub nurse and your counselor, and the surgeon himself or herself. You don't need to do anything. Just make sure that you don't let them slack off. Call them weekly to let them know that you're ready and that you just will do whatever they want you to do to make it happen. Be nice and cooperative and especially at this time, be congratulatory of the fact that these people, even though they seem like Specialists right now, they have probably worked through this virus as much as anyone in the ER. Then they will propose some dates based on your Readiness and as in my case, my surgeon's vacation schedule. Just take it as it goes and be patient and be nice but be THERE so they know you want it.

I got my letter today that I was approved. Not sure what is next since covid has affected elective surgeries. I am going to call tomorrow and see what is next. I am relieved to have gotten this far but also my anxiety about the surgery has kicked in.
Congratulations, that is great news that the ball is rolling again. It's natural to have some anxiety in even ideal circumstances but I'm sure your team will be able to put you at ease.
