HI. I'm new to the group. I had my lapband surgery in 2013. I would like to do a barium test to see if band is still in place. I wou.d like to just get a fill but because it's been 8 years and don't know if thats possible. I went to true results for my surgery in Scottsdale but they are no longer in business. Any suggestions please.

Hi Lovecats, welcome to our group. I had a lapband about 10 years ago but had it removed last year and revised to gastric sleeve. I don't see why you couldn't still get a fill. I would research bariatric centers in your area since the one you used isn't in business any longer. Good luck!

All the information I've read about the lapband is very negative. Thank god we have the sleeve and the bypass.
