Lost 50 lbs now my surgery is 12/31/19 any advice.

I am excited. My starting weight was 378 now down to 327. Dont know what to expect from the sleeve procedure. I'm excited, nervous, and worried all at the same time. My per op appointment is Monday. My surgery is in 9 days..

Congratulations!!! 50 pounds pre-surgery is a huge accomplishment, you should feel so proud. I had Roux-en-Y (RNY) so I can’t give tips on the sleeve specifically but you can read my account of surgery day here: My Surgery Day Experience

One thing you can be sure of is that you'll be surprised by many things. Keep asking questions, keep reading, stay in touch with the nutritionist and surgeon, write everything down and EXPECT THE BEST. You'll be uncomfortable at first for a few reasons, but it will pass and then you'll wonder how you ever ate the stuff you ate to get up that high. And 50 pounds! Amazing! In a year you'll be looking at a whole new person in the mirror. Stick around. We're following your story.

I had the loop ds. Which reduces the size of the stomach (like the sleeve) and reroute intestine which causes malabsorption. I'm new here but my best advice is listen to your body. You'll feel full quickly. That's been a huge adjustment for me. Be proud of yourself! 50lbs preop is fantastic ! (High fives)
