This message was posted to the administration forum, buried deep inside the Forum rules for posting. I don't know if you are still here, jrg, but I hope so. I am forwarding this post to the group on your behalf:
I had gastric bypass revision June 21, 2019. My first by pass was unsuccessful because i did not participate in support groups. Was never informed about them, and I don't want to make the same mistake. My revision consisted of no cuts or lacerations. They did it going straight down my throat. They reduced the circumference of the opening between my lower esophagus as it enters my stomach.
I did good with my liquid diet, but am having trouble pureeing my food all the time. My dietician suggested chewing 32 times before swallowing. However, easier said than done. I found myself vomiting more often than not. I have found myself eating soups again, like green pea soup with a chicken thigh in the pot and chicken bouillon. I've been successful with weight loss, but having trouble with water retention in my right leg and foot.
My pants are definitely falling down without much nelp.
I have aortic regurgitation and hypertension with water retention in my right foot and lower leg
. I saw a nurse practitioner and she thinks an increase in lasix is indicated but states to wait until next week when i see my pcp,
Any thoughts are suggestion?
