Migraine Issue

Well I went to the doctor today. The pain specialist. He decided to change up some of my meds today for my migraines. I had a script for norco that I could use while having a migraine. I also have injections that I can give myself at home. This new doctor, that is new to the practice has only seen me one time before and that was last month for about 10 minutes, decides today that he is going to take me off of the norco and start me on a med called cambia. Ok like anyone else who suffers from migraines I will try anything at least once to see if I can get any relief. They gave me a sample of this med to take home and a script for it. Low and behold I start to get a horrible headache before I got home. I drop off the script and I go home. I was going to take that medicine but, something told me to look it up and see what it is made of. I have a very huge NSAID allergy and this medicine is one big fat NSAID. Welp back to the drawing board. Calling the doc in the am.

Wow. That's not good. I hope you get some relief. Have you tried Maxalt? That seems to work best for me in stopping the migraine if I feel the symptoms early enough. I have vocodin for pain but that just numbs it. Good luck

Wow Tillie, good thing you looked it up. That could have been a huge disaster!!!

Tillie you may want to ask your surgeon if you can take Carafate while you have the need to be on Norco during Migraines..

The Carafate will help coat and protect your belly while on Norco..
