Omg my Dr office just called and said my surgery date is scheduled for July 15th!!!!!!! I still don't have insurance approval though. Should I let my job know? Or should I wait for the approval? I am low key freaking out!!!!

hi, I would let my job know what the situation is, then I would contact the doctors office, I wouldn't think they would do a surgery without knowing they will be paid. these things aren't cheep. I would also get in touch with my insurance company and find out what the holdup is. It could be something real simple, or just a mistake. In my case, everything was completed and I was just waiting on a date. A month went by and I finely called the doctors office, the secretary looked up my files saw everything had been done and told me she would get with my scheduler and I would hear from her. ..... 8 minutes later she called and I had a surgery scheduled. The moral of this story, don't be bashful, call and ask. Doctor's offices and Insurance companies do make mistakes.

I called my short term disability people and my PCP as they said they needed a clearance for surgery from them. Now I guess I just have another waiting game LOL. I hate waiting LOL.
