Greetings Everyone.
I had gastric bypass surgery on 27 October 2014. I wanted to connect with folks because I need the support. I did quite well, but I am having hydration issues. I try to drink as much as I can however my pouch gets a little irritated. I'm still trying to figure this out.

Just wanted to say "Hey" and I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Peace and blessings.

WELCOME to the Forum!!!

I also had problems drinking after surgery. It's a pretty common problem. Just sip, sip, sip!!! It will get better. Warm liquids such as warm tea sometimes relax your tummy and may go down easier. Try different liquids, try different temperatures.

Good luck to you :)

Welcome.

We all had dehydration issues first month.

It does get better. As Cheyenne says sip, sip and sip.

Get a good water bottle that minimizes how much air you consume with your liquids.

Drink whenever you can.

Anything, water, juices, eventually milk, etc., etc.,

As long as you are getting at least 48 ounces you will do fine. You will work your way up to 64 and above in the coming months.
