Congrats on the no smoking! I quit in 2007 and know how hard it is. Keep going, it is so worth it.I haven't got my surgery date yet!! I have one more w/ the dietitian on the 13th & already had my EGD..I have to be 2 months smoke free..my last cigarette was the 28th..so I'm thinking probably gonna be April sometime?!
I'm also a diabetic. was on 4 meditations, had morning reading of 170 to 190. I had my surgery 1-7-2020. now I don't take any meds, and morning B.S. run between 110 and 129. yes this is another good reason to have the surgery.I just found out I'm diabetic..all the more reason for having my surgery right!!
Congrats on your surgery! I'm diabetic as well. My hgb A1c was 9.3 in August, had gastric bypass on Dec 16th, and in Jan my hgb A1c was down to 6 and I'm no longer on diabetic meds (was on glipizide, Actos, and metformin). Hope you have a smooth recovery and continue to improve your diabetes and overall health!I'm diabetic and had sleeve on Jan. 21. I still have blood sugar issues, but I think it will go down when I get on protein and off of cereals, which are carbs.
