I don’t know if we have a thread like this already, but I couldn’t find one. So many people is getting bariatric surgeries these days - the market of products is huge! I personally wasted tons of money on stuff I didn’t like.

i did find something I love so I thought I would share it. These small protein pouches are great for people on the go. I personally tolerate them very well from the start. My recovery is little challenging so I’m stuck on the mushy/wet food almost 3 months post-op.

i have to admit I can’t stand most of the protein products. They are nauseatingly sweet and taste so artificial. If you feel the same way - give these a try. It’s just a real fresh fruit purée without added sugar and artificial flavors.

I found a picture of the label, I don't think my plan would allow this. Although if I struggled as you are with being able to get protein in other ways they may allow it. Our rule is more protein than carbs in protein supplements. It sounds yummy though and a way to get fruit in with protein so I am going to at least ask and see what they say! Thanks!

I have a request. If possible, please don't guide us to Amazon to buy. Amazon isn't just a monopoly. It's destroyed small business. I was there on the ground floor when bezos said we were only going to sell books nothing more. He bought drugstore.com and then Toyrs'r'Us.
He never paid a bime to stockholders including my poor dad. And if that's not bad enough, check out Mechanical Turk. Gigs are offered and writers compete for them, sometimes working for a few cents per hour. Why do you think some shops are trying to unionize over equal rights, a living wage and dignity.

I worked for bezos. I'm an eyewitness. He has so much of your money, he can fly in space and look down on his serfs.

Support small, local businesses.
I am 100% small business supporter but sometimes you just can't. Most of them are very specific to what they sell and don't have things like this. At least, not around me. Otherwise it is just larger chain stores who sell it and it costs even more. I have not come across a "health food" or "vitamin, nutrition" small business. If you have and they have websites, please recommend options rather than just saying no Amazon.

Carb content depends on the flavor. The ones with the chocolate/tropical are the highest I think.

I’m still able to eat very very little so I’m not really watching calories and carbs yet, I’m pretty much happy to be able to eat anything. Sometimes I get dizzy and then I actually have to drink juice for sugar. I survived on these when everything else made me throw up. I’m also a strong believer in “count chemicals not just calories”, so I like that this is just pure fruit, no added sugar/sweetener. Most of the “protein products” is basically a chemical cocktail.

On one hand I’m over feeling sick and wish I was able to eat, but then some people told me that their appetite came back and sticking with the diet got harder and they wish they were at my stage when they didn’t want to eat.

I understand how you feel and I’m sorry about your dad, but I’m a disabled person and don’t have the luxury of exploring my local business. Amazon literally changed my life, as I remember back in a day I had to ask people for help every time I needed toothpaste or laundry detergent. I agree with what you say but I do live of Amazon and for people in my situation it’s a blessing.

To be clear, I'm referring to this knee-jerk trend of years on end, where people just automatically refer anything, for any reason, to Amazon. I think it would be so great if people shopped around. Several of my Instagram friends went out of business, devastating their families, because they didn't have Amazon's retail reach.

This is a choice I make, but I also shop with Amazon. Whenever a company owns and creates a product, I shop with it, not any other large company that carries their product. Sometimes it takes longer, but I support capitalism, not monopolies.

You know Amazon was born here in Seattle. I do most of my grocery shopping with them, and I tip the independent drivers who bring the food to my door. This is an important element of our local economy.

I just wish "You can get it on Amazon" wasn't the first response. I support everyone's right to choose the retailer s/he prefers. I wanted to share my opinion and my little comment was one, compared to the hundreds of Amazon referrals here in our group.

So, no biggie, right?

People say that because many doesn’t live in a city where they can go and enjoy the selection of small businesses to choose from. I used to be in this situation so I understand their challenges. I don’t know what kind of disability you have, but it doesn’t change the fact that I can’t stroll around the Central avenue here and shop small business- to be honest I can’t afford it anyway.
Either way - this was a question about PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS and the whole thread was hijacked and turned into Amazon discussion. If this is such a big topic maybe we should have an Amazon theead.
I’m still hoping to get product recommendations- REGARDLESS WHETE YOU BUY IT. Amazon is cool with me. Wherever you shop your recommendations are welcomed. Hope people can still see my actual questions through this Amazon saga.

I understand and hope you feel better soon! Good luck

My favorites protein go to snacks are pure protein bars(mostly 20 gr protein); flavors are chocolate peanut butter, chocolate peanut caramel, and chewy chocolate chip (my favorite). The lemon, birthday cake, chocolate deluxe strawberry crème are okay for a change up. Another brand is Quest protein products, I love the peanut butter cups (think Reese’s pb cups less sugar and fat). Been getting another brand name of snacks, Think chocolate mousse bars. I keep stuff on hand but try to limit how many I eat. Primary protein foods are special K cereal, 2 protein waffles, 2 pieces bacon, turkey sausage patties. Not everything is snack bars. Hopes this helps some. This is all bought at stores locally, I didn’t add the Aldi snack treats since they are lower in protein than these.
