Does anyone have any fish recipes, I am just a month post surgery (sleeve) and fish is the still the easiest thing for me to eat that doesn't get caught and make me feel yucky.
Try broiling it for 5 minutes for a thin fillet and 8 to 10 minutes for a thicker fillet. I like to season mine with a little thyme, lemon juice and a little salt before broiling. You could also cook it on the grill but use a piece of no stick foil to cover the grate. I like to broil it better because you don't usually have to turn it over and it looks real nice. You could also lightly mist it with butter flavor spray oil for more flavor.
I love fish and I agree this goes down really easy. I eat a lot of salmon and I cook all my fish on top of the stove. I spray the pan with olive oil spray and season fish with dill or whatever I am in the mood for. I cook with the skin and then flip on both sides. I cover the fist so it doesn't dry out. I then make a sauce of nonflavored greek yogurt with dill or other spices and in a very short time I have a really yummy dinner. I also agree with Letrell. I start my veggies before as they take longer to cook then the fish. I have started to make 4 oz so I can have leftover for lunch the next day. I also enjoy filet of sole. Very simple. I season with garlic, basil and tomato and add a touch of olive oil. Very quick and easy. Other sauces I have used incorporate ginger and garlic. I also do a mango salsa. Small amounts go a long way when you are only eating 2 oz of protein. I tend to eat the same thing alot due to numerous dietary restrictions from another disease. Share your ideas as I am always open to suggestions.
