I may have mine in July. I have to do the supervised diet for the insurance and it will require 4 more doc visits. So I'm pretty nervous or excited. Not sure which.

You can do it... Just remember why you want to do this and the end result. That will help keep you motivated... Insurance wants to make sure you really want to do this... I just had the Bypass feb 14th and am glad I did it... already of a few meds..... Im lighter... feeling good... What are you thinking about having done... Still have time to decide...

Your words are encouraging. I will most likely have the roux en y. I at first thought the sleeve would be a better choice but after research and asking questions the roux is first choice. It's amazing to know that you feel lighter and all after just a few days. I look forward to that!

I wore a smaller (1 size) pair of jeans to work and a shirt that used to be too tight today. Felt great. I am slowly going through my clothes as I get dressed for work or whatever. If it's loose, goes in the pile. It feels great. That makes me stay motivated. You will do great, Carolyn. I had to do the 6 month doctor supervised diet, as well. Went by faster than I thought it would, tho.

My insurance didnt require the 6 month supervision, so hopefully soon. Have my final nutrition consult and upper GI this Wednesday, then Schedule appt with Surgeon, said surgery will be approximately 2 weeks after that appointment. So excited.

congrats Cindy. I had gastric bypass Jan. 10th and it was the best decision I have made in several years. I haven't had any complications or problems so far.
