Surgery in 11 days

So my surgery is in 11 days and this pre op diet is my biggest challenge yet. Im not as weak as I was on day 1-2 but I’m just hungry. My pre op diet is one lean cuisine a day, 2 protein shakes and I can have 2 100cal or less snacks a day. How did you all survive the pre op diet because I’m having the hardest time.

The pre-op struggle is one of the most difficult periods. Stick with it. Being committed during this time will help set your surgery and post-surgery up for success. Drink a lot of water, all the time. It's unfortunate you have to do lean cuisine because they are so heavily processed and stripped of many things that would help keep you satiated longer. But, that's what you have to work with, so do the very best you can. It's hard, but getting things set up for surgery is important.

You can do it!

I was on a 2 week liquid diet and I had to buy the meals from them. So I had a protein shake for breakfast, pudding for lunch and soup for dinner. I could add on 1 sugar free popsicle or jell-o a day. It was THE WORST! After a few days though, I felt weirdly empowered like if I could do this I could do anything. But my family could not wait for those 2 weeks to be over. lol
Even if you get snacks it's really freaking hard to go from eating enough to be obese to eating next to nothing. Once you have the surgery, you won't be so hungry and it will be much easier. So just hang in there. You can do it and it's worth it.

I know I’m driving my family crazy too! I don’t want them even thinking about eating around lol! But it’s been a challenge. I do feel better physically but mentally I want to eat. I cannot wait to have surgery and not feel hungry for a while. Thank you for your encouragement

Now you are so close to your big day. Hope you are as excited as we all were as that day approached. You will likely lose your physical hunger for awhile afterwards; this should help you learn to keep your head hunger under control. Sip sip sip your water, and walk walk walk, 2 of the best tools you'll have to become a "loser." Best of luck!

Thank you so much!! 3 days away and I’m so excited and nervous but excited. I really feel like this has been the greatest challenge of all and I’m so ready for the lifestyle change forever!!
