Surgery Sept. 27 Sooo nervous!!

Most people do have some anxiety. I think if you have faith in your surgeon it helps. For me this was my last dance so I didn't have much anxiety about the surgery. I think I was more anxious about what to expect after the surgery. I was worried about getting back to work as I had only taken 3 weeks FMLA. As it turns out, I needed more time and had to take an additonal 2 weeks. I am gaining more energy every day. Everyone recovers at their own pace. I am 3 month post op today. I follow my food plan as directed. Work with my nutritionist and this site has provided so much support which I am grateful for. I'm am sure more people will come along and share their feelings before surgery. Keep us updated on how you are doing. Sending positive energy and a speedy healing. Keeping busy helps!

Souxie-Being nervous is normal. You will feel like you are on an emotional rollercoaster ride at times. It's a perfectly healthy reaction :)

Souxie: I am with you. My surgery is two weeks past yours, but I am anxious. Intellectually, I know this is right for me, but the life/social changes will be difficult. I am spending much time reading stories about other folks who have had the surgery. How are you dealing with the stress?
