Surgery Septermber 29th

You're having a knee replacement at the same time as you're having bariatric surgery? I think that is absolutely nuts. I had knee surgery a couple years after my RYGB surgery. That was the hardest surgery ever to recover from. I was in physical therapy for 4 months and after that, I still walked with crutches or walking sticks for at least two years. And I was in pain the whole time. I was really glad I had lost so much weight by the time I had my total knee replacement.

Phew! The gas is gone long before that. It's a matter of days, or perhaps a week or so. It just takes that long cuz it has to get out through your skin. I'm so glad you cleared that up.

My surgery is a week from tomorrow and am wondering if anybody else had to have a knee replacement after their bariatric surgery and how did you deal with shoulder pain. without being able to walk enough go help get the gas out of the shoulder? That's the thing I'm most concerned about.
I didn’t have any gas pain after surgery. I’ve heard of others having shoulder pain though. Someone mentioned using a heating pad and doing a lot of walking.
