Throwing Up

I had gastric bypass surgery about 10 weeks ago and am in the process of introducing "normal" food into my diet. For some reason, I'm able to tolerate some new foods a few times. Then my body says "nope", I'm not going to let it stay down. I seem to get sick around 3 times per week. Is anyone else having the same problem? If so, are there any remedies? Thanks.

Are you eating too fast? Maybe some foods are irritating to your insides. I would speak with your doc or nutritionist. I know 2 weeks out I could eat yogurt but now it seems 1/2 of a yogurt is hard to get down, not sure why. Hope you figure it out and let us know.

I had RNY nov22,2012 and there are things I've tried and as soon as that first bite hits my stomach..up it comes within a minute. I don't know why. I'll just stay away from it for while. That's about all I can tell ya. Sorry I don't have any better news for you. Carla

I have recently found that certain foods do not agree with my pouch and I will throw up. I have a lap band and I think I may have reached my max for fills. However, it seems to be related to the time of day, and whether the food is hot or cold, and as to how fast I ate it and if I don't chew it up enough. Nine months out and I still forget to chew correctly. I have problems in the mornings but not in the evenings.

I would check with your Team on that. Eat slowly and stop before you feel uncomfortable. No drinking with it 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after- I, however end up waiting at least 45 minutes after.

Having the same problem. Not a lot but sometimes my stomach just rebels, even though the meal is one I've had before and done fine. Eating fast does make it worse but sometimes happens even when I eat slow.

my doctor told me to try one new thing at a time. I can't eat beef. But take is slow chew it and if it makes you sick put in on a list of things I tried. Choclate makes me sick lol. Which I suppose might be a blessing. It's how we learn what we can handle. Good luck.
