Tomorrow is the big day

It's a little late to advise, but I'd say, make sure you have plenty of liquids, including Magic Milk (search the forum for recipe) and drink slowly but constantly as you recover and heal. MM can be used to double your protein at this crucial time. And protein is what the body uses to heal.

I am scheduled for the sleeve surgery tomorrow. Scared and excited! Any last minute bits of advice?
It's never too late for a little advice and support. How exciting for you. Get up and walk as soon as they will let you, and walk as much as they will allow you to around the hospital floor. When you get home, walk often, slowly increasing distance over the weeks. You don't have to go that far, but just spend few minutes walking and increase it after a week.

Follow your program guidelines as closely as possible.

Be ready for weight gain from fluid after surgery, which can happen off and on during the first month depending on how well you hydrate.

Keep in mind that no matter what the scale reads, you ARE burning fat, and your body composition IS changing. The scale isn't always the best measure of success.

Measure yourself in key body areas and check that on a monthly basis, you will often see big changes there even if the scale isn't moving like you thought it should.

After you move through the post op food phases and get to regular food, focus on building a new relationship with food and good habits that will help you maintain what you'll achieve over the next year.

Good luck!!

Thanks yall! I ordered the milkman powdered milk last night. Anyone have suggestions for the best flavorless protein powder in that it’s truly flavorless and mixes well with bot and cold? I cant tolerate the sweetness of the flavored. Surgery is at 3:00pm MT!
