Waiting for final approval but don't expect a problem

I'm waiting for final approval but at this point we don't see a problem. We are looking at the surgery to be the end of April first part of May. I want this so bad but have concerns of failure. I've started with increasing my proteins already and have started eating healthier. I've already lost 22 pounds in six weeks. But, I've lost weight before only to gain it back. I'm coming here for support and keep me on track. I hope to learn from what works for you in hopes that it works for me.

I see where people are drinking protein and vitamin waters. I've always been doubtful of those drinks. Can anyone recommend the best brands that are out there and are truly what they claim? Right now I have been making my own whey protein drinks with hits and misses on flavors as I experiment.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Well the premier protein drinks are the real deal, 30 grams of protein in 11 ounces. Of course, you have to be able to drink them, and I personally gag when I try, they are too thick for me. An issue I have with so many of the premade protein shakes on the market. I've been using a very thin powder, called Annex Gold, from the complete nutrition store near me and it works. I drink a shake with 46 grams of protein over 2 hours for full absorption every day. I also drink their protein coffee, which has 23 grams of protein in it as well. I add a yogurt and some cottage cheese daily and try for one more thing protein putting me at 100+ grams of protein a day for weight loss. I've had blood work done multiple times and it shows that I'm getting my protein in, so it works. There are so many options available and your taste buds may change after the surgery, mine are forever changed so I hope you find something that works for you!

I tried Premier Protein shakes on a day I was optimistic that I might actually be approved for weight loss surgery. Unfortunately, the vanilla tasted like thick chalky water to me and the chocolate tasted kind of chemical, probably from the vitamins in it. Pixx, I'm glad you found an alternative! That's what I really like about this site--there are so many people with more experience to help others out. I think I will look for that protein supplement, too. Thanks. :)

Thank you Pixx and HoJo for your comments. At this point, everything I read is helpful. Continue good luck to you both.
