Hi Sandie,
No I did not have any surgery yet. I've worked very hard training with stretchy bands that are different degrees of tension, and also I use weights, and a form of Pilates, and also Isometrics, which is stationary exercises. I used to practice Martial Arts, and have been doing moves I've learned to increase my strength, and also tone my muscles.
Linney,
You look wonderful. I checked out your before and after pictures and I must say you are a changed person. I noticed your beginning weight and it is the same wieght I am currently. I am scheduled for surgery on 9 weeks and wanted to ask you a few questions. Did you have the sleeve or bypass surgery? And, what was your first 4 weeks post op like? Thank you so much Linney and all my best. Cheryl
Hi Cheryl, and thank you...I had Gastric Bypass surgery. The sleeve was not an option at the time in the practice, and I originally wanted the Lap Band, but changed my mind. My first four weeks.....hmmmmm, well they are challenging because two weeks prior to my surgery, I was just drinking shakes and eating a protein bar. Then the second week before the surgery, I was just on shakes. Then the night before the surgery I was on clear liquids and that was rough. After the procedure, I chose to take three weeks off from work because I wanted to adjust mentally, physically, and spiritually to my new lifestyle. I was a bit frustrated since I haven't eaten for two weeks and then two weeks afterwards just the protein liquids, water, and liquids such as broth and soups....I was ready to eat some kind of solid. But you get over whatever you need to get through during that time, and it becomes a faint distant memory. It's all good. I'm going to post some more pics tonight of my body today.
