You know you have lost a lot of weight when...

You know youve lost alot of weight when your 3 year old grandaughter walks in the room while I'm dressing and says "Nanna what the hell did you do to your skin". I nearly fell down. I couldn't believe she said that. LOL I told her my skin was just old.

When can I start eating salads?

I have eaten lettuce and salads since I started on solid foods. Doesn't bother me in the least. I love my salads, but have to protein it up with bacon bits, cheese, chicken, or something. I know alot of peopel that can't tolerate lettuce for a very long time, I havn't had an issue at all, or...

    help

I have been where you are! For me, that has been the only that I had trouble with. I cried alot the first 3-4 weeks post-op. Again, its the disconnnect with food, its the extreme weight loss, and also the loss of your best friend that got us where we are in the first place, FOOD. From the...

    Had a set back :(

Mine did that about two weeks after surgery. I went in and it was an inside stitch that tries to work its way out. They lanced mine and took the stitch out and stitch the outside back up. It healed up right away. Probably nothing to worry about.

Just wanted to put this out there. Does anyone else have this issue? As I am adding more foods to my diet, I am scared of eating. I can tolerate alot of foods now, including chicken, and I'm so afraid of eating too much or that I could break into my old habits again. I'm 9 weeks out and just...

Scared to death about upcoming gastric bypass surgery

Barbara, I went through some of the same negativity prior to my surgery on August 30th. I have found some people are somewhat prejudice of Weight Loss Surgery. Even in the hospital I experienced some negativity, and some, "dont they tell you these things before you have a surgery like this"...

    Weight loss

I am 5 weeks post-op. I had RNY and I was at 223 starating out and Ive lost 34 pounds since I began the liquid phase 10 days before surgery, so I'm counting that as well. That would make it about 7 weeks from Aug. 19 to now. 34 lbs.
