I had the Ruen-Y Gastric Bypass surgery Dec. 2000. I had lost 136 pounds. I waited the 2years to get pregnant with my first child. No pregnancy complications. I gained 40lbs with my pregnancy. At 27 weeks gestation, I got extremely sick and went into the hospital. Found out I had intusseption (a form of bowel obstruction). I had emergency surgery where they took out a foot of my intestine. While in recovery I went into labor and they did an emergency c-section. I ended up loosing my baby. This was all a complication from my gastric bypass. My intestines were rubbing against my scar tissue from my bypass surgery. This happened April 2003. Since then, I have had another child, and also gained another 40lbs with that surgery. Struggling now with weight gain at 12yrs post op. I have high blood pressure, fatigue and in pain. I want to get back on track, but don't know where to start. I haven't seen my bariatric surgeon in the last six years. I had my surgery in MN and now live in AL.
