Maybe he just wants to give you wiggle room in case you gain some back. It is common for folks to gain a little back.

my doc isn't sending me home on clear liquids. I have to puree everything but I do have food I can have and ones I can't. I am going to go with baby food the first week just for the ease of it. gross. lol I found with the protein drinks I put a scoop, about 1/4 cup of water...stir like crazy...

you can drink a protein smoothie in place of a meal. I would say food and drink. I could be wrong though.

Good luck on Wed. I too am very nervous but my surgery isn't until Sept 10. I don't have anyone that is really interested that I can talk to about it. Please let us know how you are doing after your surgery. I can't wait until they knock me out so I don't know anything about it.
