I spoke with nutritionist and they said it's fine, cause you can only absorb around 30 at a time and your drinking point 2oz of the 8 oz every 15 min that's Ok. I'm excited I went and bought the big bucket lol. .
Ok so update!
I decided to tell close friend of miNE and she is super supportive it feels so good to have some one I can talk to that knows me. Other than her and my husband and kids I'm not telling anyone else.
I guess it's a trade off. My surgery was supposed to be in December then they Couldnt get me in so pushed it all back. Which made my my insurance messed up esp seeing I had deductible paid and all. Now I'm doing it all over again this will be expensive ..but worth it . At least some stuff...
Ok so I'm just leaving my apts, did my pre op. They don't have us doing liquid diet at all except day before surgery with clear liquids. .it's crazy how different Dr's are..
I havent been on a liquid diet yet either but I go for my preop tomorrow 1/30 and surgery date 2/10 im expecting that he will put me on it tomorrow but I dont know.
im going to be like 150 gm protein a day i guess cause Im doing the isopure powder mix and thats 50g each serving so 3 shakes a day will give me 150. hope thats not too much.. Im going to Preop tomorrow Ill ask dr. Good luck on your surgery on tuesday ..
February 10th . Crazy scared now i have no idea why because Ive had much scarier surgeries before but for some reason im worried about dying and such.. weird i know but maybe its because i am older now. 38 im not a spring chicken anymore..
Ok everyone I'm interested if anyone else had hid their surgery from family and friends? I currently only have two people besides my Dr that knows I'm having the surgery. My concerns are if people know even family that they will think I'm taking the easy way out and will treat me differently...
Thanks tracy , I'm concerned about telling any of my friends and family. I really don't think they'll be truly supportive and I think they'll feel I'm taking the easy way out.
I'm just curious why you decided to get the band and if the Dr was trying to talk you out of it? I was also going to get lap band but my Dr said they are actually looking at pulling that from approved bariatric surgeries. I changed to sleeve and will be having surgery on the 10 th of Feb.
Hi everyone I'm new here, just joined. I'm having surgery Feb 10th . I was going to have lap band but after meeting with my doctor and specialist they talked me out of it. I want the best chance of success with least complications so I decided to do the gastric sleeve. I'm getting nervous...
