It's a great day, my total weight loss is 104# since the beginning of this journey back in April 2016, it has been one heck of a ride. I had surgery in December 2016 and have lost 64# since then, I am so happy, I can't believe this is happening to me. Can't wait to see the end result. If anyone is on the fence about whether or not to have this done, don't hesitate, just do it you won't be sorry. I'm now at 166, my goal is 135

Congratulations Tracy!! That's an amazing accomplishment! My highest weight was 245. In 2013 I weighed 235 (I had previously lost 45lbs then gained 35 back). I started boxing and eating very strictly. I got down to 165 at my lowest and then the scale wouldn't budge. Working out 2.5 hours a day and eating right just didn't cut it anymore. The weight started creeping back on. I was so frustrated. My eating habits loosened to much. And even though I was still working out a lot, the food choices derailed me. A fat person can not workout so they eat what they want. I'm jealous of skinny people who can. I got back up to 201 lbs and decided that I needed this tool. I weighed 187.6 at my final weigh in before surgery. They wanted me to Los at least 10 lbs. I'm a pro at losing 5-10 lbs at a time because that's what kept happening. I could never get back under 185. I had my surgery a week ago today and weigh 178! So excited to be out of the 180s. It's been really tough smelling the dinners my roommate has been cooking all week. It's almost like she's torturing me. She NEVER cooks and is never home. The first week I can't eat, there she is... EVERY. EFFIN. NIGHT! I seriously think she is torturing me! To get through it, I read forum after forum to know that I'm not the only one miserable. I obsessively weigh myself (I know, I know... that's a HUGE no-no). I do it so I can see the results in the form of a number and tell remind myself how worth it the torture is. The scale is my accountability and I really need my accountability right now.... especially on these damn shakes. I can't wait to put "solid" food in my mouth... Jello and popsicles are too sweet you count. Hell, I can't wait to use milk in my shakes! Staying strong though. Thanks everyone for your stories because it takes my mind off of my misery lol!

That's great, we are all struggling, I just put on a happy face. I'm going over to Dr office to weigh myself today. Hopefully I will lose a pound or two, it is coming off slowly and all this skin sucks, I hope I can scrape up enough credit cards to have it all removed I even thought about going to Mexico for two weeks next summer and having it removed for half the price

The extra skin does suck. I'll probably just have to live with it. Just ordered my first Spanx so that I can hopefully wear a certain dress to a friend's vow renewal ceremony. My belly sticks out a little too much right now. Crossing my fingers it works.

Keep us posted if you do go to Mexico. I will probably be looking into the same thing when I get down to my desired weight.

I will keep you all posted on what I decide, I'm actually thinking about asking my surgeon if he can make a recommendation. I'm sure he has dealt with alot of people who have gone that route. Today I popped over to the nutritionist office and climbed onto their scale, (the official one) and my total weight loss since I started all this back in April of last year is 107lbs, I know some people only count the pounds after surgery but I started this journey the day I walked into the nutritionist office. And I feel every lb lost should count. My surgery was on Dec. 22, 2017

Great job on the weight loss. I too look at my total weight loss, not just the weight loss since surgery. I think I noted the wrong total earlier. I'm down 106.4. Almost the same as you!!! :)

I use almond milk as it has less carbs. I found when my carbs were to high my weight goes up or stays the same. I am diabetic type 2, but have been off meds sense my rny gastric in May 2, 2017. But for me I'm finding I still have to limit the carbs I have each day. I am just starting to get use to solids again, my mind says yeah but then after a couple of bites I'm full. My sister cooks all the time so I just hang in there. I've had a couple bad experience with the dumping syndrome, with foods I can eat, sure keeps me from cheating. Your doing awesome and keep up the good work. Your story is an inspiration for me.

I used almond milk as well for the same reason even though my doc wanted me to use Mootopia (a lactose free high protein milk here in Texas). The carbs and price made me do otherwise. I've been on solid for a while now. Much happier. Weight is much slower to come off but at 156 I'm ok with that. Im comfortable in my skin and clothes are still getting looser so I'm no longer concerned at the speed in which it drops. Plus my skin will be happier losing it slowly lol.
