Does anyone else get sick every time they eat? I am 6 months post op

Any foods or just particular foods. Whats a typical meal that makes you feel sick? Are you vomiting? Have you talked with your bariatric team?

No and that is something you need to discuss with your team, as Ryan said. By 6 months you should have a certain amount, be it a 1/2 cup or even a 1/4 cup of food that you can tolerate without getting sick.

Do ask your doc, but I still have nausea frequently 14 years out, always related to eating a few bites of food. I just stop eating, sit quietly and wait until it passes, then take a few more bites if i can tolerate it.

Asking a professional is always the first thing you should do, but nausea is not uncommon for some of us post-op. You may discover there are types of food you just can't eat anymore, including foods you used to eat all the time.

But your nausea is treatable and may be a symptom you shouldn't ignore.

Thank you everyone for the advise I have an appointment with my surgeon a week from Thursday.

Glad you are meeting with your surgeon about this. If you aren't already doing so, keep a food diary and write down how you react to the foods you have eaten. It will not only help you but could help the surgeon in figuring out what is causing the nausea. I hope you can get some answers and feel better!
