I’m only 8 days post op, so pickles are still off limits. I suppose if you cut off the skin they could probably be eaten in the soft food phase, but that takes away some of the satisfying crunch!

When do u see your dr again?

No, one more week of liquids and then I move on to purées for two weeks. I’ll be about ready to start soft foods when I have my first follow up in person. I’ve been communicating with the various team members since I left the hospital though (RD, PT, Dr), so it’s not like there hasn’t been any follow up yet.

At what week were u able to nibble ?? That sounds amazing!

I’m over a year out. I had a feeding tube for the 1st 6 weeks after surgery due to complications, there were no pickles for me for a long time! Making up for it now though lol
