Soo I just had gastric bypass. And I feel like a fat cat is sitting on my chest and clawing at my stomach. And every time I take a small sip of water it feels 10th times worse:

when should I expect this to subside?

I was dealing with extreme nausea and dry heaving at that point, and was given several medications to help. Honestly, warm broth helped my stomach feel better, I was having a hard time sipping cold things.

Okay… yeah tonight I can just have water but tomorrow. I think I’m getting broth. I hope that feels better

Try different temperatures and flavorings too if straight water makes your stomach hurt. I am almost 6 weeks post op and still have to drink my water room temperature. Until about a week ago it also had to have Crystal Light in it. Small small sips and it does get better. Just a little trial and error

Thank you! I was miserable yesterday. Today I am a little better and yeah I cannot do cold water right now. the room temp water goes down better.
im excited/ nervous to try my protein and broth. oh and jello and popsicles. that's what I have at home for the next week for two.
