did anyone get hungry with the 2 week liver shrinking diet?? Some days are ok...but some days are really hard.
Yes, day 3 I wanted to eat my entire family LMAO However, it really is worth it. My husband had to do 3 weeks due to where he carries his weight. Very high on his abdomen. The surgeon was very worried that with his fatty liver and all the weight on top of it, that it would be an issue. It wasn't and his surgeon said his liver looked great and had shrunk a LOT.
So, your pre-op diet is really going to make sure that you have the best possible outcome. And that is worth a bit, okay a LOT of hunger. Stay strong. You can do it.

Thank you for your response!!Oh, I was hungry a lot of the time with the pre surgery diet. Get to know the feeling - it is a good reminder of what real hunger is like, and then you can also sort out what the "head hunger" feeling is like; it will be helpful to you post op.
Thank you for your responseMy dietician warned me that day 5, 6, 7 is sometimes the hardest. She gave me permission to have a 4th shake on those days. Check with your dietitian and see if that’s an option.
