Hi I just had surgery on Monday August 12 I am feeling a lot of pain on my right side is this normal

Maybe. I had intense pain on my left side for about 4 days. I had a bypass with gallbladder removal and though the gb is on the right side, they reach through and pull it out on the left side. So with 6 incisions/entry points, the one that really hurt was the main access point on the left.
Hi Tamara....I wonder if it's gas pain, which dissipates with walking. If it's surgery pain, take one of your pain meds to see if it relieves it. If not, I'd suggest contacting your doc's office, but the gas pain can be a bear!....Walk, walk, walk....and stay hydrated. Best wishes dearie!

Tamera this exact question has been asked so many times that it is all over our archive post. If I had a nickel...
Do a search for right side stomach pain or words to that effect and I'm sure dozens of posts will come up.
But the real answer to your question is ask your doctor. This is not the kind of question you ask of lay people. We don't know the answer. Even if 20 of us have had the right side pain, we all went to our doctors to find out what was going on, or the pain went away on its own. But we didn't look for an answer from others because each person is unique.
You are going to have a lot of feelings. Your body is going through changes and you had major surgery. You will have pain nausea and God knows what else. Call your doctor.
