I have been overweight my whole life. I have tried many weight loss programs but have never been able to make any of them stick long term. At the start of my journey I weighed almost 400 lbs. I was worried that if I didn't get healthy I would run the risk of not being around to watch my beautiful daughter grow up. I never would have considered WLS before she was here as I have always been relatively healthy and happy with a good self image, but having a child changes everything. I had my RNY on September 27, 2011 and am very happy I did. I lost 54 pounds pre-op and have lost another 28 since.
