Hi there,
I had bariatric surgery 3 years ago and all went pretty well. Lost all weight needed and have a healthy life eating correctly most of the time and exercise almost daily.
Last week I had a a small bowel obstruction. I ate too fast and more than I should and ended up having to go to ER and hospital.
They needed only to use the NG tube with some meds plus endoscopy and X-Rays to confirm all were good.
I was discharged and surprised with the diet suggested: 3 weeks on clear liquid diet.
I'm doing since Saturday and already lost 10 pounds(that I should not lose, probably liquid and lean mass). Anyone can share or know a post bowel obstruction diet(without surgery)?
I'm not agreeing with this diet and likely will schedule an appointment with a different doctor or team.
Thank you
