The only downside is how heavily processed most, but not all of them are and all the extra "stuff" that is crammed in many of them. Most are not particularly friendly for your microbiome. However, sometimes you have to go that route for a protein boost or snack. I usually have some handy, but I resort to them a lot less than I used to. I've been trying to get everything I can from whole foods. It's not always possible though. Life happens.
