Hi, my name is Nancy and I am 47 years old. I had the gastric band surgery in 2009. I was able to lose 35 pounds but no more. Nothing seem to work for me so I got depressed and gained the weight back plus 10 more. Now I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, pre-diabetic, high blood pressure plus my knees are shot and I have plantar fascitis. My mother died 10 years ago from kidney failure due to diabetes. If I don't do something soon I am going to end up like her.
Back in July I went to my doctor and he suggested having a revision to gastric bypass. I just completed all of my testing and have been cleared by the doctor for surgery. Just waiting for my health insurance to approve me.
