Rough surgery

Hi guys So... I had a pretty rough surgery! Pretty rough time. It was supposed to be 6hrs and it was over 7hrs. I had a lap band removed and the Surgeon said there was allot of scar tissue from the lap band. While in the hospital my blood count started to drop and I had a bleed. It seemed to resolve itself after my levels dropped to almost needing a transfusion. But they decided not to after my levels started to climb. They released me to home after 4 days in the hospital. Now I'm struggling with getting the intake I'm recommended to?

Take your time and rest. Do your best to stay hydrated because that and protein are what your body needs, besides rest. I’m sorry it was a rough surgery.

So sorry you had a problem during the surgery, I wish you a speedy recovery. It is hard to get the water in at first, but that will get better. Try to increase it a little each day.

The hardest part is over so now you can concentrate on getting adequate amounts of protein and water each day. It’s gets easier so please take things one day at a time.

Take your time, don’t rush anything. have liquids nearby but rest like 3momchaos and Judy suggested. be Safe.
