St Vincent Carmel IN Surgery delays

Hi was wondering if anyone else on here is waiting on their gastric sleeve surgery as well at St vincent and if they know why they are not doing any surgeries atm. I was told it was due to staffing issues at first for the delays but now no bariatric surgeries are taking place. Hoping someone can help me find more info about what's actually going on there.

Hi Curt, welcome. I'm in NY so I really don't know what is going on there but many people have had delays due to Covid and scheduling non-essential surgeries. Are you in an area of high Covid infection rate? Someone in this group had mentioned hers was cancelled until they were able to get surgical staples. So it could be just about anything besides a staffing shortage. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long. Good luck!
