Want to say hello and introduce myself

Hi, I'm Joyce from Doylestown and I had surgery on Monday 9/19/12. I am home now, and healing. My surgery was done with open
incision due to scar tissue from masectomy trans flap. The pain gets better every day, but it has been intense. Is a hernia a problem with this surgery? I did more than I should have yesterday as I felt better but now have more pain.

Hi Joyce, Welcome. Congratulations on your surgery. Try to take it easy, I had the lapriscopic surgery and couln't lift anything so I am sure it is just as important for you so bplease be carefull, you don't want to have to go back in for a repair I don't know if you can get a hernia but you can pull out or tear stitches. If the pain gets any worse call your doctors 24 hour line and if it has subsided make sure to call in the morning if you still don't feel right. Tom
