Gastric Bypass in 2012

I have gained all my weight back after my surgery, I need to know how to get myself back on the diet to lose weight, I just purchased protein shakes, but I have nothing to help me with a starting point to begin to lose this weight. I have had several surgeries since 2012 on my back and my knee and elbow so things have been quite stressful. I am taking all my vitamins, plus extra B, but still losing hair. I am extremely frustrated.

Hi JetPups,
Try looking up The Center for Weight Loss Success on Google. The store is in Virginia, but they have a course on getting back on track. It is with Dr. Thomas Clark. Hang in there, you can do it!!

Hair loss is a known physical reaction to sudden and/or large weight loss AND surgery. It's part of adaptive thermogenesis.

Your instincts to go back to square one are good. If you have your post-op diet, consult it and plan out your first two weeks or so. If you don't have it, you can find mine at my profile. move more than you ordinarily move in a day, but not a huge lot. You can walk in place instead of sitting while watching tv, for example. Just take small steps. If you do too much, you might actually find your body in a backlash, where you go back to your "fat brain's" control system.

Hi Dianeseattle........Try to find Dr. Thomas Clark's book on getting back on track, or visit his web site, he has a course online you can take as well. He has been a bariatric surgeon, he doesn't do surgery any longer, but has a wellness clinic in Virginia. WWW.CFWLS.com is where you will find his site and Amazon has all his books if that will help. His site has books too, and a who gambit of things to help you get back on track.

I don't think you actually bothered to read my post. I'm also concerned you might have a financial stake in promoting this book.

Group members, please disregard this thread, as it is completely unrelated to the welfare of our membership.

Actually, I have read your post, and was trying to give you information that I found helpful. I have not one cent of "financial stake" for promoting the book or the web site, just giving another option for you. If you choose to disregard that is your choice. Have a great night.

have you tried Ozempic? it helped me get the ball rolling and I started to lose weight. I was able to remember how small portions and no sugar helped me lose that weight.
