    Almost there! 6-10-2013

Dennis, why does that not surprise me? ;) But he is right, eat as little as possible the day/night before and wear light clothing. Can't hurt if you are close. You're going to do great. Frank

    A week from today!!

Hi, in order to get in your fluids, you need to sip sip sip all day long, except the 30 before and after meals. Of course at first there are no meals, so no problem. Don't worry if you don't get all the protein and liquids in at first, few of us do, just get as much as you can. As time goes...

    If only I had known...

Hi Kaboodah and welcome. I'm not sure what to say. I am sorry that you've had a very hard time since the revision. The gas issue is not from surgery, otherwise I was going to suggest walking, as it helped me. What does your Dr say about it? If you haven't asked yet, you should. Let us know...

    First time hello

Hi and congrats on the surgery. Your emotions will calm down in the coming weeks. For now the best thing to do is to find a way to handle them without turning to food. I found going for a walk really helped when I was feeling stressed. Let us know how you're doing. Frank

    Burping and Protein...

Nancy, are you taking small enough bites and chewing thoroughly enough before swallowing? The other thing I would suggest is to only add one new food at a time. Let me know what the Dr. says. Frank

Karenina's advice is right on. Just relax and work each day. It will take time to get the fluids and protein in, but you will get the hang of it. Frank

Jen, this started for me after the surgery. I've done a lot of reading and it seems to be the Sciatica, waiting to hear from the doc as to what we're going to do about it. Frank

I new here and have no idea what I'm doing lol.

Hi Astuart, welcome to the board. I'm not really sure what your question is. Basically at this point you should be worrying about getting in your liquids and proteins. Depending on the type of surgery you had, that will determine what types of food you should be eating. You should have a...

    OMG...I'm going bald!!!

Nancy, I did experience hair loss for about 3 months. I took Biotin, 5000mcg and it helped stop the loss. That was the only change I made. As for the epidural possibly causing hair loss, you should confirm with your Doc. Let us know how it's going. Frank

Nancy that is scary. I had the RNY in October and never experienced a loss of smell. Definitely need to have that checked out. Let me know what the Doc says. Frank

    Life after gastric sleeve???

Welcome to a great board. I had the RNY, but the experience is similar. After the surgery, you will not be hungry and just getting in the recommended water and protein will be a chore. Over time this will change and you will want to eat. Stick with the plan and you will be satisfied and on...
