When I hit plateaus I change up my exercise and do something different. It keeps the body guessing. I usually takes a few days of that and then it starts to drop again. I read some where that you should change up your ecercise routine every 6 weeks. Good luck. You are doing really good!
I haven't seen Hummingbird post lately. She posted a day or two after her surgery but haven't seen anything since. Was just wandering how she was doing.
My Dr. gave me the powdered nexxum also. I am 5 days out and haven't had any indigestion. The gas pains aren't to bad, only in the abdomen. I took very little pain meds in the hospital and have not had any since I came home. I get sore and stiff if I sit to much so I just keep walking.
Thanks. The nurses I had were great. I came home Thursday afternoon. I was a little disappointed, I came home 5 lbs heavier than when I went in from all the fluids they were pushing thru the IV. After 2 days at home I still have one of those 5 lbs to lose. I've been going to the gym to walk...
I am still in ICU because my sugars are a little high. Maybe later today I will will move to a regular ward, possibly go home. Though I think another day or two wouldn't hurt. With the gov't shut down some times I am the only patient so I get a lot of care. I was lucky my surgery was Tuesday...
Headed to the hospital in a few moments. Not really nervous but just want to get this over with and on my way to a new me. Weight this morning 213, down 40 lbs from when this process started in June. I'll let you all know how it went as soon as I can.
Glad to hear you are doing ok. I Look forward to your post on your progress. I and hoping my surgery doesn't get canceled. I am having it done at an Army hospital and the Dr. is civilian. Don't know if it will get canceled if the Gov't shuts down Tuesday. Time will tell!
This week has really flown by. Just three days left until surgery. I won't get my show time until Monday afternoon. I guess I better start thinking about what to pack. Those of you who have had the surgery, how long were you in the hospital? I've been told 2-4 days.
Been thinking about you off and on all day. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way. I have three more days until my surgery. I just want to get the show on the road, so to speak. Can't wait to hear how you are.
Your story really moved me. I wish you all the luck in the world and will keep you in my prayers. Do you live any where near the North Carolina coast? I just spent a week on Topsail Island. I loved getting my steps in by walking on the beach.
I was nervous about my psych eval but before I went I read that most people get hung up with it because the say what they think the Dr. wants to hear. If you have to take the test that asks a lot of questions and you have to answer Yes/No or True/False (I can't remember which it was) they say...
I like that...Eat to Live not Live to Eat! Never really thought about it that way. Good Luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you and sending prayers for a speedy recovery. You have a beautiful plase to recover. I love Hawaii and the beach. We been to Hawaii each of the last 3 years...
I've been very guarded about who I tell about my surgery. Up until today everyone had been excited for me. Then today at work a lady heard me mention the liver shrinking diet and wanted to know why I was doing it. I decided to tell her and she preceded to tell me about a neighbor of hers that...
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site and am glad I found it. I am on day 7 of the liver shrinking diet with 7 to go! I get to eat, not much, but it is better than all liquid diet. I started this journey in June when I changed Dr.'s and one of the first things he said to me on my first...
