11/18 is my day

Hello,

I am new here bored at work and found this site. I will have the bypass done on 11/18 in 19 days. I am so nervous I need all the encouragement I can get.

Start weight: not sure what is was
Highest weight: 303
Current weight: 292?

Any words of encouragement would be appreciated!

Thank you!

To you and CAD, may I suggest you use the search button in the upper right corner? Type in something like "post op recovery" and hundreds of posts will come up with people's experiences in them. If you're having a sleeve or a gastric bypass or duodenal switch or one of the other weight-loss surgeries, type that into the search box and you'll be able to read about members' experiences there.

I had my surgery in 2008 and it was major, which is not how it's done today, so I can't be much help except in post-op diet suggestions. But you might want to visit my profile page here because there's a lot of nutritional information there.

I think it's a great surgery and most people don't have any trouble with it. Expect the best!

Good luck on this journey. It's not easy but it is so worth it. Keep following the plans from your surgical team, ask questions whenever you have them and take it one step at a time.
