Activity levels after surgery

Hello All,

Well I am just a few weeks away from surgery and fighting the nerves, so far logic is winning and hopefully it will stay that way. Since I am a competetive archer one of my biggest fears
is not being able to "come back" to my current exercise/endurance levels on the lower calories. While I expect some recovery time I don't want to lose the endurance I've worked hard to gain.

All thoughts apppreciated!!!

My thoughts are you will be amazed by your new endurance. It is amazing what a person can do with the extra weight gone. I am loving my new level of fitness!

I think you will find that you will be much stronger because you won't have all your excess weight to carry around and your new diet revolves aroung high protein and very healthy eating. I am much stronger than I was before surgery. I'm sure you will be, too. :) Not to worry.. you will do well. It's an amazing journey!!!

It has been said. Your endurance and energy will be much greater post surgery. Of course, you have to allow for yourself to heal. With respect to archery and/or any other exercise consult with your Doctor before resuming. The first month is really meant for healing.

It will be hard to keep my hands off the bow but I will behave and listen to the Doctor. Have a great day all!
