Colonoscopy

I'm scheduled to have a colonoscopy. I've had colonoscopies before. However, this will be my first one since having gastric bypass. I'm going to be doing the Suprep for it. I'm very nervous about the amount of water (32 oz) that has to be drunk within an hour of a batch of the prep liquid.
Has anyone been thru it post surgery? If so, how did you do?

I totally get why you’re feeling nervous about the prep! The 32 oz can seem like a lot, especially after surgery. When I had to do it, I just took it slow and sipped on it little by little. Maybe try to break it down into smaller amounts and set a timer to keep yourself on track. And if you can, make sure to stay close to a bathroom! Hopefully, everything goes smoothly for you, and you’ll be able to relax once it’s all done.

Ask for the pills or do the Gatorade cleanse
I had bypass . Everything was fine . Then 3 months later had to have colonoscopy for other issue . After the prep and drinking all that prep my gut has been messed up ever since . And they can’t find any issues .
So demand some other prep

I've had one colonoscopy and will never have another. It's a barbaric procedure, and just the amount of fluid you have to take in the night before is abusive. It seems to me we have so much medical science, we should be able to make colonoscopy work without practically killing the patient.

Also, right now I'm supposed to schedule a mammogram, but again, I'm not having it. My mom & I were both breastfeeders and we both triggered lumps on our mammograms, and both times they were calcium deposits, but again, we had to have them removed surgically in order for the doctor to see that. I'm NEVER going to do that again. And can anyone here name a similarly invasive procedure men have to have without anesthetic?
