I just discussed this with my doc! Also, my surgery was 11/11/24. I really have had to depend on my support system during those moments. It's so easy to fall back into bad eating habits which lead to the need of this surgery in the first place so being able to talk to my partner during those moments has been super helpful. I also did get small plates, spoons, and forks plus eating my meals in the kitchen rather than in front of the tv. I feel it's easy for people to use the word mindful but that truly is what is needed while I'm eating and learning new ways to eat. I also do work with my therapist pretty closely and she has been fantastic. This is truly a mental game! Not sure if any of that is helpful for you but I just wanted to share what I have found to work with that same struggle!
