Hurry up and wait

I am thrilled to announce that I have completed all the necessary requirements for my insurance to cover the gastric surgery! Although I have not yet met with the surgeon, I am eagerly anticipating the appointment. The process has been quite lengthy, and the uncertainty of how much longer it will take has been challenging. However, I am remaining positive and hopeful that the wait will soon be over. I am so excited to finally begin this journey towards better health!

I admire your outlook. I've heard that the PRE stuff is lengthy. In the 90's they didn't prepare for much post op stuff. You went in, saw the surgeon and then had the surgery. I'm very happy now that there's all kinds of support before and after to ensure the best outcome and understand the journey ahead. I have a girlfriend who went to Turkey to have her bypass. I'm sad about that because they have no pre and post op education. I experienced that to a point and it was not helpful. She is only focusing on the scale. There's so much more to it. I wish everyone the best.
