just starting on my journey

i am just starting out on my journey. My insurance says i need to do a 9 month diet in order to pay for the surgery. I do not know where to start or what diet I should be looking into. I am ready to get this ball rolling and looking for advice.

First if your insurance is like so many others this will need to be a Dr supervised diet. Start with your primary physician. Be careful to have your weight checked around the same time every month because some require consecutive months. If you have not done so go to the free class offered by most surgeons and talk to the patient advocate. Making sure you follow things to the letter will keep you from having major setbacks in the future.

My Doctor put me on a 1200 cal diet. Higher is protein, very low in Carbs... plus drink at least 64 ounces of water a day
