Less Than 24 Hours To Go

Hello Everyone,

I'm having the Sleeve Gastrectomy performed tomorrow morning and feeling a little nervous and excited. I've lost 12lbs from the 2-week full meal replacement preoperative diet. Believe me, it's not the best tasting protein shakes in the world, but the weight loss has been enough validation for me! If anyone has suggestions for a multivitamin alternative to Bariatric Advantage, please let me know. I have a friend that had the Sleeve done 2 weeks ago and she's trying the Vitafusion Chewables for Women. My physician's office suggests Centrum Adult Chewable as an alternative, but I'm sure there are others. Any suggestions provided are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!:)

I use Costco premium. I used Costco chewable kids vitamins right after surgery, dinosaurs I think. I am 54 and sort of enjoyed them. Best of luck tomorrow, I am proud of you. You will have some bad moments but in 6 months you won't believe how good you feel. Sending you my best.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for the information and the encouraging words. It feels like the time leading up to surgery was moving so slow. Now it's the day before and the time is flying by!..lol :p

I take the New Life Bariatric multivitamin. It seems pricey ($28/month), but it's the only supplement you have to take. Everything is in it, including calcium.

I like my flintstone complete :)
Good luck and remember to keep one pair of your biggest pants. I put mine on today after a day of feeling fat. I can fit a dang large childrens ball inside the waist while wearing the pants. It is so cool. Best of luck!

Thanks so much. I had the surgery last Monday 9/30/13 and I'm feeling a little tired, but as I understand, that's expected. The surgery went well, but I had a little bit of a bad reaction to the anesthesia. Trying to control the nausea and vomiting was a bit much. Even when I was given anti-nausea medicine, I got nauseated and started dry-heaving. I wish that experience on no one. I did keep a pair of loose-fitting cotton pants, so I've been wearing them a lot around the house and big t-shirts.

Hello

How are you feeling? My biggest concern is taking care of my baby (9-10 months then)

I'm feeling great. I still have a little soreness where the largest incision is located, but all in all, I feel good.
In caring for your baby, I'd be careful in how much and often you pick up him/her. I was advised not to lift anything over 10lbs.
