Hi Margaret,
First I would suggest finding another doctor and attending some support groups. Surely, your doctor did not leave you hanging. Morally and ethically he should have notified you who would have your records and that new doctor should be taking care of you. I don't know how it is down there but my bariatric center welcomes anyone to the support group meetings. I am from the Panhandle and had my lapband surgery in Pensacola.
Walking is just about the best exercise but something I find very difficult to do with my arthritis so I can hardly wait for warmer weather so I can get in the pool again.
If you have the progressive diet information from when you first had surgery, it might help to start over kind of through the different parts of that program. Also some recommend a pouch test and that information can be found on this site or you can do a web search.
The PA at my center recommended going back and staying on the protein shakes and it has helped me. I usually do two meals a day (breakfast is hard for me because my band is tight in the morning which is normal) so I do a good lunch, a light supper, and a shake in the morning and one at night. Eat Proteins first, then veggies and finally carbs. Remember to chew chew chew and sip sip sip.
Good luck and hope you can get back on track on your journey. You have done so well thus far. I am a slow loser too but it will increase when I can swim again. Joy
