MR TORTILLA

I don't know if anyone has tried these or not. They are "Mr. Tortilla" super low carb/ low calorie wraps. 15 calories, 3 carbs and 1 protein for the 4"size.
They make a tiny 4" street taco size which is perfect for us, or eat 2. I had 1 for lunch today with some turkey and cheese and it was DELICIOUS! My belly handled it perfectly at 4 weeks post-op. (Before you criticize, I am allowed carbs with my plan as long as I make my protein goal)
I had the 3 pepper flavor which has a tiny bite too it but not too spicy.
I am not the biggest fan of most wraps because they have a weird texture for me, especially the healthier ones. The regular soft flour type is fine.

If you have never tried Mr. Tortilla wraps, I highly recommend. They also sell other foods but I have only tried the wraps.

Ooooo, I’m adding that to my list of future foods. I love tortillas. The thought of having a tiny taco or fajita once in a while sounds heavenly! I can also have bread if it’s flat, so this totally works for me.
yes, tacos are yum. We are having tacos for dinner, ya know cause its TACO TUESDAY! I will probably only be able to eat 1 and then maybe some extra meat. I can't do all the toppings yet like the fresh veggies. But I can do meat, refried beans, cheese and hot sauce for now. Which sounds great to me. hehe
I have lots of plans for these little yummy tortillas! Mini- chicken fajitas, chicken quesadillas. I was even thinking about trying grilled cheese with them and see how it works. haha

Oh man, I didn’t even think of chicken quesadillas. I love those! That’s a perfect idea, especially considering how soft and gentle it will be to eat. Even dipping them in soup sounds good to me since I’m so used to having crackers with my soup. I can’t wait.

Thank you for the tip about Mr. Tortilla wraps. I will look for those either at Kroger's or Wal-Mart. Low cal and low carb - perfect combo. Yay Woohoo!!!

Yes! 1 net carb and delicious

Supposedly our local Wal-Mart carries these. I'm going to look for them next trip. Meanwhile my surgery twin buys romaine lettuce to wrap her sandwich fillings in. Genius!
I've done that too and they are pretty good. They also make cheese wraps as well which of course make the calorie count higher but it leaves out the bread. I think I've been stuck in a rut lately. I need to get back to some of the creative foods I use to do.

Yes. I actually had a cheese wrap for dinner last night.
Right now I am still not getting enough calories so I am not worried about the extra calories yet. They do have a lot of fat though and I haven't found low fat or FF ones. I still eat them once in a while for a change though.
Good luck pulling out of your rut, I know how hard that is. It is a vicious cycle. YOU GOT IT YOU CAN DO IT! Make 1 small change at a time just like preparing for surgery.

Thanks, I seem to be doing better at the moment. The biggest change and probably the one that will do the most good is to cut off my eating after a certain time of night. For whatever reason it leads to unnecessary eating when I'm not even hungry.
