I wish I could have a snack. This morning I really needed one. Finally got out and walked 1.2 miles. My body was craving carbs. Good thing my hubby was with me to keep me on the straight and narrow. What do you eat for your snacks? About how much food do you eat for your meals? I usually struggle to get in 1/3 of a cup of food, maybe less.I wasn't allowed to drive until 2 weeks after, when I went to my first check up, I do eat on a schedule because of working, I eat three meals and have one snack as soon as I get home from work
I usually eat 1/2 cup of egg whites for breakfast, a shake for lunch, although yesterday at work we all ordered out and I got grilled chicken breast, first time I got to order out for a long time, and then supper I normally have chicken or fish, my snack is a string cheeseI wish I could have a snack. The fish and chicken is 3 ounces, you are craving carbs and I am craving wine, everyone says a year till wine, but I have seen alot of people have it after 3 months, not sure if I can make it a year lolI usually eat 1/2 cup of egg whites for breakfast, a shake for lunch, although yesterday at work we all ordered out and I got grilled chicken breast, first time I got to order out for a long time, and then supper I normally have chicken or fish, my snack is a string cheese
You get lots of protein. That's great. That is one of my struggles, but I'm hoping I get more once I get off the soft food diet. I haven't been able to have chicken and I'm tired of eggs. Especially scrambled. The surgery made it so I can't handle the fat in milk, so when I tried string cheese, my stomach went bonkers. I'm jealous that you can have it.I usually eat 1/2 cup of egg whites for breakfast, a shake for lunch, although yesterday at work we all ordered out and I got grilled chicken breast, first time I got to order out for a long time, and then supper I normally have chicken or fish, my snack is a string cheese
Because I'm only allowed soft foods that don't take much chewing. Why can't you have chicken If you can eat burgers?
I wasn't t supposed to have the hamburger. I thought it was safe since I'm almost at the regular food time. Boy was I wrong.I'm not allowed burgers yet lol, every hospital is different, remember I started with rotisserie chicken, that was really soft, I would think more soft than burgers
That would have been the smart thing to do. No more cheating for me!!!If you are going to cheat, you should start with some moist chicken : )
I had my surgery on Dec 22, and was just to the Dr on Jan 16 and the added immatation crab meat to my list, I add a little mayo to it and make my own, I'm not allowed the celery and all the other stuff they put in it at the deli so I have to make my own, not as tasty as the deli but something different to eatMaybe if you added only one bite of a new food it wouldn't be so shocking to your stomach. I have been thinking about seafood salad from the deli. Is that considered soft food? I'm still on liquid diet but just dreaming.
Ugh, sounds like he is a real ass, one way to help with your issue instead of eating is writing it down, it will help you get your feeling out, plus maybe writing to your boss about what is really going on with this guy who is not doing g his job and how it effects you and the rest of the drivers, even if you don't hand it in it will eventually make you feel better, keep your own journal, writing really does helpI drive a 18 wheeler from Chicago to Indianapolis. Most of the time I have a new student I am training for my company. I don't have any kids and I'm not married. One more week until surgery. I'm getting so nervous I fought my self chewing on my finger nails. Yesterday, I got so mad at one of the dispatchers that I refused to work with him. The manager put us in a room and made us talk to each other. This dispatcher is always trying to get away with doing as little as possible. Some of the other drivers were taking bets on us. The manager agreed that the dispatcher needed to stay at his next instead of spending so much time walking around talking to people. I got so mad I started crying in the meeting. I'm so embarrassed! I usually use chocolate to help but the chocolate shakes don't work. I have a hard time when I'm upset getting the words out that I want to say. Does anyone have an idea to help?
I see you have one more week till surgery, that is great the two weeks before and after are the hardest but it will get better I am feeling really good right nowI drive a 18 wheeler from Chicago to Indianapolis. That journaling sounds like a great idea. I don't know if I could turn it in but just getting it out sounds good.Ugh, sounds like he is a real ass, one way to help with your issue instead of eating is writing it down, it will help you get your feeling out, plus maybe writing to your boss about what is really going on with this guy who is not doing g his job and how it effects you and the rest of the drivers, even if you don't hand it in it will eventually make you feel better, keep your own journal, writing really does help
Hope all went well. I gave up caffeine a bit ago so I could wean off.... The headache was by far the worst part. I drank a lot of soda... That was my coffee... Miss soda once in a while but it will be worth it after surgery and the weight comes off... Good luck to youhi, I'm from shelbyville Indiana. My surgery is January 31 in Muskegon Michigan. I started the liquid fast yesterday. I think the hardest part is going to be the no caffeine part. I love having hot tea. I'm excited and scared at the same time. My coworkers are very supportive. This surprised me because I thought taking so much time off would turn them against me. I went to my last appointment before surgery and found a lot of nice people in the same boat. I have always felt like the one left out and it was wonderful to talk to people that understands me.
The Bypass will keep you honest.... LOLThat would have been the smart thing to do. No more cheating for me!!!
